Before I write a word of this I shall break a Golden Rule of business strategy and direct you to another site.
Why would I choose to do that?
Simply because it’s the right thing to do.
An interesting short article, “Is anybody out there?” posted by Mandy Allen is what prompted me to write this as an endorsement of Mandy’s post.
What follows here relates to the Spiritualist Religion, as does Mandy’s article, and is, what I believe to be, evidence of survival. Evidence of Survival is the term used in my own local Spiritualist Church for the demonstration given by the invited medium at the weekly service dedicated to readings.
Personally, I’ve never been to a service and NOT come away with a feeling of comfort, regardless of receiving any message for myself or not. The occasion stated here is a typical example of that, and it also shows, in my view, that the medium can sometimes be slightly off track. But that’s not a criticism, merely a personal observation.
On Thursday, Aug 21, 2008, the chat with my Fiancee ended abruptly because her school lab, where she was using the PC, was closing. She would be away until Monday and it used to always hit me when we could have no contact for days on end. Feeling completely isolated again, something made me call out loud as I exit Yahoo for the whole weekend. At this point, I write a poem to Myrna, “Come to me”, as it happens.
In the afternoon I felt the impulse to visit our Spiritualist Church in the evening for the first time in 2008. I took a calendar with pics of Native Americans from 19th century as a gift, and the officials loved the pics.
The service started and a lady medium gave a demonstration of Spirit communication. First one she brought through was a Father figure who passed over within the past year. No-one responded. I offered my hand and told her I have a close friend who lost a Father figure within one year.
My reason for saying this was for Myrna, being the baby of nine siblings, all male elders are Father figure in the absence of the true Father figure already passed. I believe it was Myrna’s brother,Edgardo, who tried to come through because I was there… drawn to church that night for the first time since the end of 2007.
The medium dismissed this without asking why I should think it would be for Myrna as Myrna was not there. Maybe it would have been better if I’d said it was MY elder who passed, just to see what the message was… but I couldn’t say so because it would not be true.
Great shame, because there was no-one else there who offered their hand for the Father figure message to be passed. Other readings she gave to women in the group were good and the women were comforted and satisfied with the messages received from Spirit.
Now, you might ask why I believe this was Edgardo coming through to me.
Well… study this, if you will:-
My first contact with Myrn was when she found my profile on 28July’07, just two days after I published a poem to the mystery woman in a dream, asking her to come to me.
Edgardo passed over on 23Aug’07… the corresponding Thursday of that year. My visit to church was the exact anniversary of Ed’s passing, although I wasn’t aware of that until I checked the date later, from Myrn’s furnished copy of Ed’s death certificate.
On 28Aug’07, just one month after “meeting” Myrna in an Internet chatroom, I sent her, without hesitation, the funds for Ed’s Laying to Rest. The family had no money to lay Ed to rest since providing for his hospitalisation and medications during the month prior to his passing. Edgardo was in Myrna’s care at the time of his passing, and it fell upon Myrna to arrange Ed’s final departure.
You might, or might not, subscribe to these beliefs, and that’s fine. We all have our own views, beliefs, and faiths to support us. But to me, the above defy any other logical answer than Edgardo tried to come through to me in gratitude for what I did for him, for the family, and for Myrn in particular when he passed. Also to give me comfort in Myrna’s absence.
That is my belief, and the medium was too hasty to dismiss my offer without question. Did it spoil my church visit? Not at all. I was confident that the message was for either Myrna or myself, or both of us as a potential pair, and that it was Edgardo coming through for the reason stated above.
The evening and the “coincidences” didn’t stop there, but that was enough for this post, I think.
Incidentally… I believe the word coincidence comes from “coincide”, a mathematical term which describes the point where two angles “coincide” as being perfect. Food for thought, dontcha think?
There are many “coincidences” in the book I’m writing about our relationship, Myrna and I. Events leading to the writing of a poem and Myrna’s appearance are just the start of it. The above item was another significant catelyst for what happened after I returned to my chalet.
I hope you enjoyed this post, and your comments are invited if you choose to do so. Thanks, and God Bless.
